The price
Another consideration customers have when choosing a Sydney Removalist is how much to pay. We admit its not cheap to move but some operators offer prices that just seem to good. What they don’t realize is if the operator even turns up they may not be very professional at all. Rock bottom prices usually means no insurance, untrained staff, limited or no equipment, sometimes people borrow the truck off the boss for the weekend to make a little extra cash. Although the cheap price may sound appealing when booking ,more often than not it ends in disappointment and resentment. We are always hearing from our customers how the last removalist dented the fridge or put a hole in the wall or sat on the back of the truck most of the time on the phone smoking. How many men they need and how long it will take.
It is often a misconception that as long as two men can carry it that you only need two men and that will give you the cheapest option.
To ensure your possessions are transported in the safest possible way your removal team requires an experienced packer. (Someone who can competently pack the truck and strap items protecting all items from transport damage.). Unfortunately most of the packers time is taken packing and unpacking the truck leaving the other removalist to manage on his own trying to keep a constant supply to the packer. When the single removalist encounters furniture he cant carry on his own he either has to wait for the packer to finish what he is doing or call the packer down from the truck to help carry the item. These things can really slow down the moving process. If you have a competent packer and two men supplying a constant stream of items to the truck it will take less time saving you money.
A hypothetical example of this is:
Rick’s move takes 6 hours with two guys costing $660.
Betty’s move only took 4 hours with 3 guys costing $600.
And of course Betty is finished far earlier in the day.
Of course it makes sense to only use two men on a small move but it does pay to carefully consider all options when booking.
